Thanks to a customer, we have a name for this 1913 heirloom daylily hybrid, Hemerocallis 'Gold Dust'. The interspecific cross of Hemerocallis dumortieri and Hemerocallis flava comes from the late George Yeld of England. This is the first daylily to think about flowering in our garden, starting shortly after tax day and continuing into early May in NC. The short flower stalks are topped with bright orange, very fragrant flowers with dark brown stained backs. For the early season, this is a wonderful daylily that we wouldn't garden without! Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
