(aka: Hosta 95-163) This 1995 cross involved Hosta 'Elvis Lives' and Hosta yingeri 'Treasure Island', resulting in a glossy green, wavy leaf hosta with an amazing floral display. The very shiny leaves form a medium-sized 12" tall x 27" wide clump, topped in June and July with sturdy 30" spikes of spider-like medium lavender flowers. The flowers are actually attractive and because of their sheer number, they continue to open for nearly 6 weeks. Even visitors who didn't like hostas (yes, there are a few) were entranced by the floral display.
