Part Sun to Light ShadeZone: 3-8, at least 24" tall Origin: Hybrid
I was taken (not literally) by this tetraploid mutation of Hosta 'On Stage' when I visited Hans Hansen's Minnesota garden. This new hosta, which was subsequently named H. 'Hollywood Lights', makes an amazing 2' tall x 4' wide clump of dome-like dark green 14" long x 10" wide leaves, each with a dramatic bright yellow center. If you didn't know this came from H. 'On Stage', you'd never recognize it. The clumps are topped with 2' tall spikes of light lavender flowers in mid-July...one of the most eye-popping hostas in recent decades! Pot size: 3 qt. (2.83 L)
