This unusual 2004 introduction is a selection of the amazing Texas native Gaillardia aestivalis made by Dawn Stover of the SFA Mast Arboretum in Nacogdoches, Texas. Instead of the typical gaillardia flowers, G. 'Grape Sensation' is topped with 2" wide grape flowers from May through October. Having derived from G. aestivalis var. winkleri, G. 'Grape Sensation' is superbly perennial, forming an airy 18" tall x 3' wide clump...good drainage always helps. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
