This new Eucomis comosa hybrid was bred by the Dutch company, A. Langedijk. In midsummer, the rosettes of 2' long strap-shaped green leaves are adorned by 3' tall spikes of creamy white flowers, highlighted by pink centers...worthy of its name. Although Eucomis 'Kilimanjaro' is often listed as a selection of Eucomis comosa, its height indicates a more probable hybrid of Eucomis comosa and Eucomis pallidiflora (pole-evansii).
