This unusual yet naturally-occurring fern hybrid from Alabama (formerly xAsplenosorus) is the result of a conjugal visit between two native species, Asplenium platyneuron and Asplenium rhizophyllum (formerly Camptosorus rhizophyllus). The 6" tall x 10" wide, rock garden-sized clumps prefer slightly moist alkaline soils. When established, A. x ebenoides will occasionally produce plantlets on the leaf tips, thanks to the walking fern genes...gotta love those unusual breeding occurrences from Alabama. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
