This splendid sport of Hosta 'Tokudama Flavocircinalis' was discovered by Alabama's Alan Bearden, who named it after his wife, Tootie Mae. Hosta 'Tootie Mae' has a much wider yellow border than its parent, that both shows up at an earlier age and remains stunning throughout the growing season. The 18" tall x 40" wide clumps of heavily-corrugated round, blue leaves are adorned with a wide golden border and topped in late spring with spikes of near white flowers. We have found this to be an exceptional new introduction that should be in all hosta gardens.
