Spigelia marilandica 'Little Redhead' (Compact Indian Pink)
Sun to Light ShadeZone: 5b-9 12" tall Origin: USA
We received this compact form of the wonderful native indian pink from plantsman and garden writer Pam Harper, who extolled its virtues after many years in her garden. Pam originally got the plant years earlier from Bob McCartney of Woodlanders Nursery. While all Spigelia marilandica are great plants, this form is more compact, topping out at 1' tall. The stalks are topped from mid-May until mid-July (NC) with stunning, tubular, red flowers highlighted with yellow inside. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
