Crinum 'Alamo Village' (Crinum Lily) slide #62102

Crinum 'Alamo Village' (Crinum Lily)

Crinum 'Alamo Village' (Crinum Lily)
SunZone: 7-10 20" tall Origin: Hybrid

Open House/Web-Only! This amazing plant has graced old Southern gardens and was popularized by Dr. Thad Howard of Texas who discovered the plant in the 1960s in Alamo Village, Texas. The fast-growing clumps of glossy, light green foliage are topped continuously through the summer with 20" tall stalks of large, spidery, fragrant flowers of pale pink. Although no one is sure of its origin, Dr. Howard suggests that Crinum americanum is one of the parents. Whatever combined to make this hybrid, it's a real winner in the garden. Pot size: 3 qt. (2.83 L)
