This rarely offered, naturally-occurring hybrid pitcher plant is found in the coastal plains region from Virginia to South Carolina. S. x catesbaei (S. purpurea x S. flava) has features that are intermediate between the parents. The 15" tall brick-red pitchers are held upright...until they fill with water. In late spring before the new pitchers form, the clumps are topped with 15" tall flower stalks ending in bizarre flying saucer-like brick-red flowers. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
