The Chinese mayapple has only one (sometimes two) 15" wide hexagonally lobed glossy green tropical looking leaves perched atop a solitary 2' fleshy green stem. As the plant ages, the pink mayapple-like flowers appear just under the leaf, followed by bright red jujube-like fruit... guaranteed to freak out your neighbors!
