In order to jazz up what are arguably some of the best stems in the perennial world, we have hand-painted each of the 7' giant winged stems dark red-violet. These colorful stems support the large, fuzzy, silvery green leaves, then beginning in late September (a month earlier than most other forms), end in large panicles of butter-yellow flowers.
