From Nebraska's Dale Lindgren, who brought us many excellent penstemons, including P. 'Husker Red', we present the newest and best of his work, P. 'Dark Towers'. This hybrid of P. 'Husker Red' and P. 'Prairie Splendor' resulted in a plant that resembles P. 'Husker Red', except for being much more sturdy and having dark purple foliage so thick it appears tetraploid. From May through June, the 2' tall flower stalks are topped with small lavender flowers...very impressive. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
