These Lycoris radiata var. pumila represent different genetics from the plants that are typically offered for sale in the US. Lycoris 'Red China' represents a late August (NC) cherry-red flowering strain of unique seedlings. After flowering, the plant rests until the narrow strap-like green leaves emerge in early winter.
