This new Eucomis comosa hybrid was bred by the Dutch company, A. Langedijk. The rosettes of 2' long, strap-shaped, green leaves are topped, starting in early July, with 3' tall spikes of creamy white flowers highlighted by pink centers...worthy of its name. Although Eucomis 'Kilimanjaro' is often listed as a selection of Eucomis comosa, its height indicates a more probable hybrid of Eucomis comosa and Eucomis pallidiflora (pole-evansii).
