Eucomis 'Tugela Ruby' is an Eddie Welsh Eucomis comosa hybrid that emerges with green leaves, heavily flushed with purple. The rosette is topped, starting in August, with 2' tall maroon spikes that open with ivory flowers, each highlighted with a purple center.
