Neptune, Roman god of the seas, would no doubt be proud of this namesake. Hosta 'Neptune' is a Hans Hansen cross that combined the genetics of Hosta 'Maekawa', 'Halcyon', and 'Salute' to create an attention-drawing 2' tall x 4' wide clump of wave-like, heavily-rippled, long, pointed, rubbery blue leaves. The uniquely attractive clumps of Hosta 'Neptune' are topped with 3' tall scapes of pale lavender flowers in mid-August. Hosta 'Neptune' is the 2023 American Hosta Grower's Association Hosta of the Year!
