You've grown to expect something different from Plant Delights, so here it is after 8 years of trials. Richard Saul of Itsaul Plants in Georgia made some echinacea crosses in the mid-'90s (Echinacea paradoxa x purpurea) and passed along seed to us. We selected Echinacea 'Paranoia' as the star, due to its compact 10" tall x 1' wide growth habit, and lovely rigid yellow flowers. This is a huge breakthrough in echinaceas that foreshadows more exciting introductions. So far, it has proven to be completely sterile, so don't look for any seedlings. Doesn't everyone need a little paranoia in their garden?
