(aka: Disporum 'Sunray') Disporum 'Kinga' is a Japanese selection of the stoloniferous groundcover Disporum sessile, although it's much slower spreading than the white-edged form. The 15" tall, deciduous stalks arise in mid-spring, clothed with 4" long x 1.5" wide green leaves heavily streaked in creamy yellow. The streaking changes to white by late spring and often merges to appear as a solid white leaf center. In mid-April (NC) the stalks are adorned with small white bells. Disporum 'Kinga' is perfect in a woodland garden or Nevada brothel...anywhere a little uncontrolled wandering is permissible.
