This little-known South African species of pineapple lily has proven to be one of our garden favorites. Making a 20" wide rosette of fleshy green leaves, Eucomis zambesiaca is topped in July with 12" tall pineapple-like flower stalks of brilliant white stars. In flower, this is certainly the most stunning of the eucomis species.
