Astrolepis sinuata (Wavy Cloak Fern)

Sun to Part SunZone: 7b-9 15" tall Origin: USA

(syn: Cheilanthes sinuata) This attractive southwest US native is found on limestone outcrops and slopes from Texas south to South America, but is rarely seen in cultivation. The narrow, upright semi-evergreen thick green fronds with stunning white backs line the black stipe, forming a tight 18" wide upright clump with a short creeping rhizome. This is not a fern to be tried by beginners, as it is not as easy to cultivate as most others. In nature, it usually grows with its roots hidden beneath a large rock. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
