Cypripedium reginae 'Alba' (White Showy Ladyslipper Orchid) slide #60832
Shelburne Falls, MA / Hillside Nursery

Cypripedium reginae 'Alba' (White Showy Ladyslipper Orchid)

Part Sun to Light ShadeZone: 2-7a 18" tall Origin: USA

We are pleased to offer the very rare white flowered form of the treasured US native, Cypripedium reginae 'Alba'. These are flowering-sized nursery-propagated from seed as a cultivar strain, so each plant is a unique clone. Cypripedium reginae is one of the latest species to emerge in spring, but when it does, the 18" tall stems are topped with white pocketbook-like flowers in late June or early July depending on your climate. C. reginae prefers a partially open site with a moist, neutral, or slightly acid soil. C. reginae should only be grown by experienced gardeners as the cost of failure is too high for novices. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
