Agave 'Tradewinds' (Tradewinds Century Plant)

Sun to Part SunZone: 9-10, guessing 12" tall Origin: Hybrid

Open House/Web-Only! (aka: A. potatorum 'Variegata') This interesting century plant is probably a seedling from A. 'Kissho Kan'. The symmetrical 12" tall x 15" wide rosette has a darker, more glossy blue leaf than A. 'Kissho Kan' but is bordered with a similar creamy white border. Unlike A. 'Kissho Kan', the spines emerge cinnamon red and remain that color. I have purchased it both as a selection of A. potatorum and A. parryi, both of which it is not. We have named it after John Lucas's Tradewinds Nursery, seemingly the first to import this into the US from Thailand. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
