Baptisia minor 'Blue Pearls' (Blue Pearls Redneck Lupine)

SunZone: 4-8, at least 36" tall Origin: USA

From our 1998 North Texas seed collections of the native Baptisia minor, we selected B. 'Blue Pearls' for its floriferous nature and superb form. Typically, B. minor is a sparse-flowered species with 3-8 flower spikes per clump. A mature clump of B. 'Blue Pearls' produces over 50, 3' tall flower spikes of light blue flowers that well exceed the 26" foliage. After flowering, the foliage expands, making a beautiful fine-textured 2' wide mound for the summer. In late summer, the large black pods add to the ornamental value. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
