Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens (Yellow Lady Slipper Orchid)

Light Shade to ShadeZone: 3-8a 20" tall Origin: USA

(syn: C. calceolus var. pubescens) We are thrilled to be able to once again offer the wonderful giant yellow ladyslipper orchid. This easy-to-grow native makes a large clump (with age) of 20" tall stalks, clothed with hairy green leaves. In May, the clumps are topped with amazing bright yellow "ladyslipper" flowers. An established clump of C. pubescens is truly a breathtaking sight! Cypripediums should be planted in compost amended soil, where the roots can be spread out horizontally on top of the soil, then covered in compost, since the roots do not grow into the soil like most plants. Our flowering-sized plants are nursery-propagated from seed. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
