Yucca carnerosana (Spanish Dagger)

SunZone: 7-10, possibly colder 240" tall Origin: USA, Mexico

Open House/Web-Only! Yucca carnerosana is another of the famous tree yuccas with rigid, dagger-like green leaves, each adorned in attractive white filaments, and all emerging from the 1' wide trunk. Yucca carnerosana forms an imposing 20' tall x 8' wide deer-resistant specimen. Our plants are seed grown from the Mexican populations (Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi and Zacatecas), where it grows at 3,000 to 5,000 feet on alkaline soils. When the clumps are finally large enough to flower, they produce a massive 7' tall flower stalk, weighing up to 70 lbs. This is one bodacious, but anti-social plant if we've ever seen one! Pot size:
